I'm curious what's the best 1/4 mile time that you've seen for MCS? With all the mods that many of us have, perhaps some of us also tested out the modded MINIs. Please share your result!

Why people take a FWD car that is designed to perform its best while turning and modify it for running a straight 1/4 mile is beyond my comprehension.

On the other hand, I also don't understand why people enjoy standing around all day long in a parking lot full of orange cones so that they can drive their cars for a total of 5 or 6 minutes during the whole day. . . .

Guess that's why I love slaying dragons at Deal's Gap!

Of course, I would not pass on the offer to take a 13 second ride in a Nitrous MCS

. . . . and no offense intended to you 13 second MINI's or orange cone watchers

I certainly agree that the 1/4 is a good benchmark for accelleration performance, but I sure do wish I could afford lots of time on the road track or was patient enough to wait my turn for autocross

Okay, I wasn't going to push the subject, but, I have to know....
I was having a conversation recently with someone (who's name I was requested not to use), who stated that he had good information that a sub-13 second MCS did exist.

I hereby request that the owner of that said vehicle step forward. I understand that some people in the performance world like to keep these bits of info secret, but come on man! A 12.XX second MINI!

I've seen one claim of a 12 second MINI and it was completely unsubstantiated:

"We have already broken the 12 second 1/4 mile with a Cooper "S" months back. And do you know what would of happened if I would have mentioned this then? We would of gotten the same responses. Which is all fine. I personally feel regardless of what we do we will get the same response from a select few. " - Diamini

Keep in mind, this was the same user who claimed:

"I tell you my experiences about adding a strut tower brace and you tell me it is not worth my time. All I can say is that, the same smile you all had after you got out of the Mini for the first time. I had that exact same smile after I drove my Mini with a correct strut tower brace." - Diamini

Good God, is that Diamond Racings Claims?

Are they for real?

They say they have a Turbo in a CVT...
Maybe they do, if so... where is it?

Fishy, Stinky, rotten PR.

I would not buy thier product or want them to work on my MINI!

>>It sometimes is nice to see how the mods you do on the car effect the car. 1/4 mile is a somewhat controlled method of achieving this.

Also, with the right formulas one can figure a pretty close estimate of actual whp. $10 (locally) nets as many dyno runs you want.
