Do you have to use the cleaning solution that is specific to the BMP intake element (i.e. bought from them) or can "other" element/filter (constructed of the same material) cleaners suffice? Any suggestions or experiences?

I'm using K&N cleaner/oil with my Rogue Intake.

Thanks for the reply. I may do the same as I have K&N cleaner from an old application.

I also have a BMP intake, and was told by them the K&N cleaning kit is recomended.
