Installed Alta CAI today...Something Wrong?

Hi I just installed my alta cold air intake today. It works fine, but the ECU is just dangling and the bottom of the alta box isnt attached to anything. I did something wrong. Was I supposed to keep the stock box in the car? I attached a picture of what i think should of been kept in, but you tell me. Please help! thanks!

Yes, you reuse the bottom IIRC.

Yes you need to put that back in, otherwise you'll be sucking nothing but hot engine air.

No, There is such thing as a Hot Air Intake. So you should be fine. Just follow normal precautions, If it gets hot cool it off. Generally through increased air flow into the scoop.
