I used the search bar for my questions but really didnt find anything to help me out so here it goes......
For like almost two months ive been hearing a knocking noise coming from my engine which i believe being caused my one of the belts? I only hear it when its ideling, and sometimes its not all the time. Do you guys know what it could be. Ive looked at the belts but cant really see anything wrong with them. I just got my 15% pulley and thought that i might as well change all the belts at once it that was the problem....
Now for the second question.... I dont know how long it been going on but when i turn the steering in either direction it makes a knocking noise also. I now know that i need a new CV boot because i looked the other day and its ripped all the way around....would this be the cause of that noise?

I know that a belt tensioner can make a bad noise if warn. There's a lot of possibilities though. I'm assuming the noise was there before you added the 15% pulley? No clue on your 2Q. You should have a qualified MINI mechanic look at it.
yeah i havent added the 15% pulley yet. i was figuring if it was a belt or something i could fix it all at once. I ordered a belt tensioner with the pulley. thanks anyways
