Clutch Advice Please

Car: 2003 MCS with ClutchMasters Stage 1, LW Flywheel, Quaife LSD.

Clutch has started to slip. Would really like to go back to oem (ebay Luk) clutch for both financial and feel of clutch engagement issues.

Will the LW flywheel work well with oem clutch, or should I go back to oem flywheel?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Len

Since you have a solid flywheel you will need to have a sprung hub clutch disk. Alot of the results that come up on ebay are solid clutch disk. However, even if you get a sprung clutch disk, it still won't have an OEM feel because of the LW flywheel (unless your prefer that).

Personally, I would go with this: http://www.waymotorworks.com/valeo-c...l-kit-r53.html or http://www.detroittuned.com/shop/?productID=492

It has everything you need for a complete clutch job. I would also recommend you replace the TO bearing guide tube, and the clutch release fork bushings (2 of them). There really is nothing else to replace in there.

OEM Clutches in the 1st Gen cars are bullet proof.

With respect to the 1st Gen MINI, when paying some $1K in labor to install one it just doesn't make sense to put anything else in there.

What about a warranty ?
