Drivetrain cam ? for ya
>>what is the max lift on a stock cooper s?
You might try calling Webbmotorsports and ask Randy your question.
Most of us have read than changing cams isn't going to be cost effective.
Too little gain for too much cost.

im accually not changing the cam but working on getting some performance heads made that will be better than those already available. we are doing a lot of testing and should have the prototype done in a week or so. my machine guy wanted to know about the cam though. thanks i will call randy after the holliday
You're going to have a tough time figuring out exactly what lift and duration the valves see. The cam actuates separate rocker arms that are asymmetrical (so they magnify or reduce the effect of the cam) plus the valve lifters are hydraulic so factor in some extra space in there for oil at different oil pressures.
The whole process is much simpler in applications where the valves are directly pushed down by a camshaft right above them.
