Does anyone around montreal have an odb flash cable?

 

The MINI uses a standard ODB2 connector/plug.....

Is it a flash tool you are looking for?! These are usually ties to the car when used...so if you use a used/borrowed one, it will not work...

 

There are standalone flash odb2 cables, i gather they use the can bus though to read/write the ecu

 

The files are encrypted....it needs some special software/tools to do this. The folks that figured this out sells the tools for a licencing fee...to folks like RMW+WMW, and they can do it from a laptop...but the tools that do this...cause the software is not available for the public, ir about 350-425 USD$...but this just gets the encrypted file on/off the computer...you still must use the special software to open up the file, modify it, and re-encrypted it...then reload it...
It is not as simple as many cars....
