Don't hate on others cause you don't like the pop and burble... Don't use the sport button then

I'm an adult, not a child. I want performance not artificially induced back-fire noises. Alta should work on getting the AccessPORT working with 2011's and newer than on pop and burble childishness, but then again they told me on the phone a less than a year go that they were not motivated.

I will now ignore Alta.

I'd like the burble that was brought back on the '11 models to my '09. It sounds great with the right exhaust.

i do agree with that statement that they should be working on getting the 2011+ cars hooked up then rather then trying to figure out how to put pop and burble on the older models.. but to ask them to kill the pop and burble.. lets hope that they get to our cars before we ask them to kill a feature that could be turn off by a tap of a button

I would like it if the sport mode turned off then the settings are back to stock. AKA the wife is driving the car setting or the weather is bad. Then with S on you get all the fun stuff for max performance.

I suppose that it doesn't matter though since I have a 2011 and you guys don't seem interested....
Interesting you wish for a map that kills a sound even if it were a by-product of performance.

Can't believe people have not figured this out yet the AP isn't gonna happen for the 2011+ MCS. That's why I searched forever for a low mileage 2010.

I'm hoping that Alta realizes that they've focused their business on the MINI, so if they never come out with an AP for the N18, their revenue stream will gradually decrease as there will be less and less owners of the older cars who want an AP but haven't already bought one. As much as I like Alta, the AP is their claim to fame with the MINI. There's plenty of alternative sources for pretty much everything else they sell. It would be foolish to alienate themselves from every new MINI owner by saying they're not interested in working on making the AP work with the N18. You can't buy a brand new MINI that the AP works with now that the '13 JCW is running a version of the N18 as well.

I waited over 3 years from the time I bought my '07 for good tuning to come out.

Now its been out over two years but I have gone back to school for a graduate degree since then and can't afford it.

Count yourself lucky.

I feel everybodys pain. I really wanted to purchase a 2011. I knew I wanted more HP out of it though. It's seems pretty obvious from everyone that ALTA has no desire to release the AP for these cars. If they could I am sure they would have by now. They know there is a market.....but there is a reason behind it.

Good luck. Not trying to be a douche.

Yep. If someone was able to crack the ECU and so it could simply be reflashable via an AP, they would have done it and released it already. As far as I'm aware, noone has yet done it.
Back when the 2011's were just coming out, the word was out that new 2011 ECU was uncrackable or would take a really long time to crack, and some people didn't believe it. I even remember reading some people on this forum telling others how dumb it was for people to not buy a 2011 MCS with the new engine cause they'd have an AP for it in a few months and it would be so much better than the 2010 MCS, despite people saying how the new ECU would not be cracked anytime soon.

Just came across this thread.

Although I like my AP, I wish they implemented stock power non-sport and tune on sport.

Not a fan on the super linear throttle. Just makes it harder to be precise in autocross.
