Drivetrain Cam shaft sprocket holding tool
Cam shaft sprocket holding tool
Wondering if anyone has gotten this set. Looks identical to the BMW special tools for holding the cam shaft sprocket (when switching cams) and also includes the motor support bracket. I don't have any use for the other stuff in the kit but the price is not that bad, at least compared to paying a shop for a cam install.

That looks like it will work. I used a wood block and jack under the engine and stuck a big screwdriver in the rotor with the car in gear to get it on and off. That worked too and was free.
No denying that I would like to have had that set while I did it so it is just really a question of money. For one job, I would pass still, but for two or more, I would buy it. You can always buy it and sell it for $30 less or so once finished and move it down the line.
