Performance Muffler for R50

Hi,
Looking to replace the muffler on my R50. Don't want to replace the whole exhaust system. I also don't want it to sound like a cracked out mosquito. Would like more of a quiter deep sound. Any recommondations? Oh would like to keep the cost under $150.00.

While outside of $150, I strongly recommend you look into the JCW Sound Kit. At least get familiar with it before you make a different choice.

You can also look for a Megan. They are great and also are the most affordable. Mine was $350 plus shipping. Check either Megan or Way Motor Works. You can look at the thread on exhauts in the Cooper (Non S) section. The reviews are good.

I've ridden in a R50 with the Megan exhaust, and I will tell you, it sounds SWEET!! Very deep and mellow, very BRITISH!! If I had an R50, I'd get one in a heartbeat! In fact, in combo with an air intake like the afe or wmw, it sounds better than the R53...

I picked up a lightly used OBX for about that amount and love the tone. Subtle until you step on it. Watch the marketplace...

I have a Megan combined with a K&N 57i intake. The overall effect is great. I get a touch better response, and the sound is 'there' - as mentioned above, a deep, mellow one, and not that crackhead mosquito ricer sound.

I dont know what youre gonna get for under $150. Thats way too low a price point.
