It's a sandtler dyno. They said it's wheel power... I don't believe um.

There are primarily two types of dynos: engine dynos and chassis dynos. In order to use an engine dyno, the engine has to be pulled out of your MINI and bolted to it. The chassis dyno measures power at the wheels.

Actually, after I read up on the German PS term, it seems that is measured as output shaft power. Scroll to the bottom to find the info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower. 210.7 PS comes out to 207.81 HP. 235 Nm is about 173 lb. TQ. The TQ figure looks right, but the HP figure seems a bit high. A Stage I MINI (15% pulley, CAI, exhaust, tune) is usually 195-200 HP at the crank (I may be a bit modest; dyno charts will tell otherwise). Parasitic loss of HP from the crank to the wheels is low for a MINI because there is no driveshaft. An article I read awhile back (http://www.europeancarweb.com/projec...ems/index.html) indicated only about a 5% loss. Having said that, your MINI is more like 197 HP at the wheels.

 

Yeah but even for 197 that is boss for a mini with the limited mods I have and running the jungle juice they call fuel out here! This car rippes and it loves the twisties! Hopefully I will run the ring soon. Now I'm waiting for my rear sway bar to get in before I run. This winter I'm gettin with Jan to see what my car can do with some of his magic voodoo!
