Lazy Throttle response after CAI

I just installed my DDMworks CAI over the weekend, it sounds great and it really pushing hard after 4000rpm, but I also feel a very lazy throttle respond from 1 & 2nd gear while the RPM is between 2000 - 3500. I know someone must talk about this issue somewhere in here, I just want to make sure it just the downside of the CAI. Debating either keep it or change back to stock. thank you all!!

I'd drive it and let the adaptations in the car reset, it can take 100 mile for it to fully learn. That intake works great, so I'd give it a chance, it will give you a few extra hp.

thank you WayMotorWork. I did installed it on Sunday and drive it for almost 150miles already, and it seems more noticeable now than when I first installed on Sunday. My MINI seems slower to get off the line and kind of lose the instant respond, or may be just the intake sound make me think the engine is working lot harder than before. thanks again for your advice.
