Mini lowers price on HPFP

Now under $400 usd msrp. Maybe just maybe someone will take the plunge and explore the potential in modding the pump for more flow and higher pressures.

Already done it, however unless your running BIG hp, then it's not necessary.

My car starts to break up from 6000 rpm to redline and will not pull past 4000 rpm with a aggresive ecu tune . I have had the pump changed and have added new plugs yet the car still pops and has a huge loss of power at upper rpms.Anyone care to throw a dart at the drivabilty dartboard ?

Is this just an updated HPFP or a JCW one or ?? I ask because I had to have my 07 FP replaced just yesterday so I am wondering if they put a better one in.

i'd like to see if one for a bigger engine (saaaaaaay APRs version for VWs TSI engine...) would pop into our system... most likely not but since they're both direct injection maybe some parts would be usable between the two. may not happen but a man can dream or maybe doubling up the pump would help... i know some Evos run two Walbro pumps to get 700whp....

Yes both the S and JCW run exactly the same HPFP.

The VW TSI HPFP are camshaft lobe driven, unlike our HPFP which are driven from the end of the inlet camshaft like this below.
