Not a "great" day at LRP. Electric water pump seized so it was a short day.
I will tell you that the power of the Mynes Tune on the Thumper head, with some of my own mods is very very impressive. Was only being pulled by a 500 HP ford in SPO but only on the long straights. Anyway, only had time to push it about 60% as like I said above, ..man was I rusty and unsure of myself.

Just a few picks and a big thanks to Mynes and Thumper for their quality work and follow up.

Are you taking it out tomorrow? Have any idea why the pump seized.

Car looks really good Greg. Its amazing what comes out of the woods in Ct Bummer about the water pump but that is part of the shake down process . Must have been great to get behind the wheel again after all that time and effort .

Like you say s... happens. On the good side the car is in the same "shape" it was when you got there.......

Wow, is that the back pit? Haven't been there since 2 pavings ago ( track - 01? ).

Yea LRP is hugely improved! The pits and track alike are great. This was my first time back (driving) in about 5 years. Big Bend is a whole new thinking.

I think 92 was tha last time I raced there. Omar Norton was the chief stewart at the time - he ran a GT-4 Mini.

Is the down hill any better??? It got my attention... EVERY lap.......

It's funny, I have driven that track so much in the past, but Friday was the very first time I walked it. If you think the downhill looks intimidating while driving, try standing there looking down. Haaa. Actually every corner seems to be better. The down hill is the same but ultra smooth. Try and get back there if you can, I think you will have a big smile on your face.
I'm pissed my time was cut really short as I was just "starting" to get comfortable again. People who have not driven this track just can't understand how ballsy it is to go for fast times.

I think at the 88 NER run offs, we were able to ride our bycycles around the track... The down hill is, at the very least, exciting on a bike.

Most people have no idea how fast LRP really is. It's a fablous place to race & watch the races - especialy a regional.

Your car is MUCH too nice to have raced back then - lots of door banging. AND the cars were nowhere near the development - your car.

Forgot - some big...... BIG fun - reason that I won't go car racing, when my son turned 10 we got into kart raqcing - went all the way to shifters, did many races - won lots of races. I still have 3 shifters - the down hill on a shifter......... WOW comes tro mind.

Bummer about the water pump Greg, but the car looks awesome Some angles I haven't seen before. I like how you left the OEM "S" side scuttles on Almost the only way that you can tell it's a Mini anymore
