Hello

I found this article on MIGHTY MINZ INN forum and this guy from PHIL stated that his Mini one is already produceing 190hp to 240hp. What a MINI

Man I want this MOD so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some of the simple and also the links to the forum:

MIGHTY MINZ INN

Sample of the post:

Both will be alright up to 245 bhp ... this is the power the "biggest" turbo-kit available here produces. They give 2 years warranty and 100 000 km limit. The company called pegasus-tuning runs they turbo-coopers and turbo-ones on arohnd 200-220bhp. They have 12 cars on the road so far (all in private hands) and no engine or transmission failure yet

Impressive looking kit, but keep your eyes peeled in 2004, by spring/early summer my mini will be used for the developmet of a no-holds-barred bolt-on turbo kit that will be released for sale for the cooper S that will be using a custom hybrid ball bearing turbo that will produce over 300hp at the wheels, with the "stage 3" kit will the stock tranny handle it? A Prototype test has proven that it will. Lower hp kits and other turbos will also be an option, and all the kits will be very reasonably priced, send me an e-mail if interested and I will add you to our e-mail list. Stay tuned!

Thats a very good news miniturbotuner

Your post is mostly for the MCS or is it for all the Cooper because I would love to have your new turbo kit. About the price? What would be the cost for the kit and what kind of HP are we talking about. If MCS can produce over 300hp and what are the chance we cooper owner can get to close to 250hp? Please let me know and keep us inform of your produce. Thank you

Hi AC
for now we will be making a kit for the cooper S, the standard cooper will follow, 300 plus hp to the wheels(350 or more at the crank)on the cooper S is possible with a large hybrid turbo and will appeal to those who race roadcourse and some daily drivers as well. The driveability around town may be "on off switch" waiting until 3,000 rpm for boost, and with the prototype kit the car has little traction on dry pavement until 4th gear and up, but on the freeway the car is a missile, the hp/weight ratio is very good so stage 3 kit owners will happily make heavier and more powerful cars their lunch! Stage 3 will feature a choice of water/air intercooler, or front mount, full 3" exhaust system, fuel system upgrades, and everything needed to install and cost around $5,500
The stage 1 and 2 kits on the cooper S will have Garrett GT series turbos for fast boost response and power levels between 220-270 bhp with an optional front-mount intercooler, and will cost around $4,000 with exhaust system. Standerd cooper kits will most likely cost about the same, however the stage 3 may be a few more$$ since lower compression levels will be needed for more boost, but 250 hp should be possible on a stage 3.

Thanks
