Drivetrain Dinan CAI question
Dinan CAI question
Just installed my Dinan CAI.
I tried to use the supplied template to cut the req'd opening as best as I could. After finishing, I noticed there is a slight gap (bottom part of airbox near rubber moulding - right side of picture) that appears to be due to cutting too much out. Any idea if this gap is detrimental to performance? Wouldn't seem to difficult to seal it up.
I looked at a couple of install pics from other forum members and this seems like a consistent issue which leads me to believe its an inaccurate template.

It may not look perfect, but I'm sure it will work fine. I have one and it is very hard to cut it perfectly....mine id pretty good, but I still have a small gap too!! I think part of the issue is that the template is 2D and you place it on a 3D item...
