pulley installed; lound noise from supercharger

I just installed an M7 pulley on my 03' Mini S and got it back with a louder, and much more pronounced noise coming directly from the supercharger. The sound was not there when I brought my Mini in the shop and has concerned me. It has 105,000 miles and I understand it is aging, but I'm even questioning driving to work tomorrow. Can somebody please help me determine what the problem may be or how bad it might be, and if I should even drive the car any place else besides back to the shop? Thank you very much!

it sounds more like a roaring noise as I rev it up more. And I do not feel much pickup either even after the pulley and plugs were installed. It almost sounds as if there was a blockage of air, strangely enough. For example, its as if a piece of paper was place over a vaccuum hose, and then hearing the noise get louder as you increase vaccuum power. Anything?

I would give the shop a call and perhaps let them hear the sound via your cell phone. You do have a lot of miles on that SC and its possible that it was on its way out and the added strain of the pulley swap put it over the edge.

Not a bad idea. I think the best thing to do is bring it in before dealing with the situation myself and dissecting the supercharger. thank you for all your help
