Drivetrain One Ball MOD?
http://https://www.northamericanmoto...ef-review.html
your exhaust has two pieces below the boot. Resonator and the muffler. the one ball is simply removing the resonator and going directly to the muffler. This should not be your first mod. IMO CAI first then this (if you aren't going the pulley route). I have it, sounds better and works with other mods. prices range from 30 - 150 shop around, it takes no time to do so a shop shouldn't be charging an arm and a leg to do this.

Everything you need to know about whatever choice you make in exhausts is right here, including one-ball.

The sound of that setup is awesome, and the performance is there to match the sound. It is pretty loud, so find someone with that setup (maybe Oxtox would care to comment) and hear it in person.

Yeah I heard the video from someone in PhillyMINI. He said he was selling his Mynes header, but unfortunately money is too tight for mods like that. Someday though.
One ball mod is a cheap way to get some better sound outa your car, some do for weight reduction, but mostly because it's cheap.
If your even considering spending more than 1,000 dollars on another exhaust then you won't be happy with the one-ball.

my mynes header is going to be listed this weekened....first i need my daughter to upload the pics from her camera. btw, it's not just sound but hp your getting here. those interested can pm me or wait till i list it this weekend....sorry for the kinda thread jack, but i am "the guy" mentioned above
Well for the $50 they charged me to do it at a shop. I don't really see any down side to it. Do it if you don't like then buy aftermarket exhaust. If you like then use the money towards some headers and a pulley
yes the light was Traction control trying to keep up. My tires have no grip even though they are brand new. I will roll out 1st get it going then step on it hard and then tires will just break loose. then in 2nd they slip again and then finally grip. I think I need to put in a LSD.
I have a question about the one ball mod. Do you have to get a skid plate for the exhaust? Is it fine leaving the exhaust as is after the one ball mod? I live in NY and my mini is a daily driver. thanks for the input.
I have never seen a skid plate back there. not much use that I can see either. If something has made it past the front end of my car it sure as hell isn't going to bother the rear of it
I just got the one ball mod done and it is great!
...there is a small plate under the tail pipes but that is stock. You don't need one for the muffler.
The one ball mod is not loud...it's just the right sound especially for the NY City area.

Just had this exhaust modification done an it sounds great and was a cheap upgrade. The shop used manderl bent piping to reconnect the exhaust. This also gives the exhaust a well rounded sound!!!
There is only one muffler on a stock exhaust system the other item that looks like the muffler is the resonator. The resonator is the piece that is removed to complete this exhaust modification.

what?!
