Drivetrain Hood scoop options...
Hood scoop options...
It has been argued that if you install a CAI like ALTA, K&N, or any exposed intake system you get the hot air from the turbo blown back from the front into the filter (the 'blowing air' is coming from just the hood scoop??......
)
So what if you made a sweeping duct on the inside of the hood scoop directing all of that 'lower temp air' directly to the hot turbo. Would this improve things?
Or is it even worth trying to cool down a hot turbo?
Im just wondering how to get the best use out of the gaping hole in my hood, if i cant really use it for the intake.

There are two intake systems that use the hood scoop.
DDMWorks Race Intake System
M7 Super AGS-R
The other alternative is to get a Defenders of Speed intake.
Using any other CAI and opening up the scoop isn't going to do much except make your engine bay all dirty when it rains.

Agreed... unfortunately having air forced into a fuel injected system doesn't do crap.
Personally, I installed an M7 scoop only because of it's thickness, it won't warp like the factory scoops.
