Check engine light help/suggestions
Well its time to look into something I have been putting off for months, Emissions. I have Alta TB exhaust installed (I was aware of possible Check Engine) but went for a great sale on a nice exhaust at the time. I really like the exhaust, no complaints then the dash light. I have been able to remove the light/codes with my scan gauge until recently. Getting P0136 code now(will not turn off/clear!!!!!). While this does not affect the performance at all from what I can tell. Looks like a bad o2 sensor(s)
so.......
options:
So called fix,
1. RR o2 sim not sure about this
2. Put OEM exhaust back on for testing (PIA!!!)
3. New DP? (wife will kim me
)
I am all for option 3 I think.
What DP will bolt up to my Alta CatBack? Want to keep this and of course no Cel!
Any suggestions and such are welcome
Please...
Jason

How long were you running the new system before the error code was thrown? If awhile, then probably not your exhaust system causing the problem. They will try to sell you new O2 sensors at a couple hundred a piece. Have them do a smoke test on the intake first. Most likely cause of that code is a leak in or around the intake duct.
