Thanks for that. I thought this would be the cheapest way. How does it work? Did you just drag the wires from the O2 sensor in through your door or did you run it through you engine bay and into the car? Did you need to hook up a 12v supply for it or does it aquire this off the USB of the computer? Thans for your help.
I actually use mine on an engine dyno but, I can tell you what you would probably have to do for a MINI.
The cable that is actually connector to the 02 sensor is short, maybe 18in-24in, and that connects to the device with all the computery bits that process the data from the wideband. You basically take that computer part and mount it under your car in a place that looks like it isnt too exposed, or if you can find a spot on your header to mount the sensor then stick it in the engine bay. The computer power comes from the car, nothing special just make sure you ground it well, it can be a pain in the *** if you dont. It's designed to be mounted fairly permanently, so keep that in mind.
The instruction are available on the innovate website, so take a look at those and see what your mounting options are. I know a guy who runs one on a turbo rx-7 and he loves it, and from my use I can see why, awesome bang for buck.
Anyway it actually works through a serial port, so you will need a GOOD adapter to so you can read if from your laptop, maybe 30 dollars.
Sorry for the disjointed post.
