Will the "generic" tune accommodate for my car having a helix IC. Also does the tuning tool have a stock tune? If say I wanted to switch back for warranty reasons.

That is what he meant by that quote. I imagine when you add the new tune to your car it saves the stock tune so now you have them both.

David,

That is what the tool is for. It comes with a tune. In order to install the tune, the tool will save your stock (OEM) tune and replace it with supplied one.

That way, you can always reinstall the stock tune at will.

I have a few questions if anyone could help me...

Will this work with an automatic with (currently) no mods?

is that wise/safe to change the tune with no mods?

any idea what kind of gains for a stock MCSa?

price at this point with so many putting orders in?

No tools or places to work and warranty reasons keep me from buying parts right now so a flash tool could be a good way to make a little more hp quickly and easily.

I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that this can not be accomplished with a tune at this point in time.

Does this work with cars with the JCW Tuning Kit installed?

Will it work with UK spec cars?

If yes, will you be offering remote tuning for UK cars or just generic tunes?

A friend told me, based on his experience with Super Chip tuner and SCT handheld tuners, once connected the flash tool downloads your current ECU/tune to the tool and locks in your VIN. If you ever reload your initial/stock tune only, it unlocks the flash tool and the tool could be sold separately from your car.

Will this be similar?

In addition, will the flash tool only affect the tuning maps? If your ECU gets reflashed from the dealer to update software; i.e. iPod adapter, bluetooth, etc, could you reload the tune without overwriting the other software?

You look like you missed adding CroMini on bottom of page 2

Thanks Jan for the replies
Couple more things though, Will the ~20-30 hp gain be with your tune or the generic tune the flash tool comes with?
Wheel or at the crank approx HP?
how long does it usually take to load a tune?
custom power tunes will ovbiously cost money but do you plan on coming out with like MPG tunes?
how could these hurt the cars if possible?
(sorry that I ask alot of questions, I just like to know what Im getting into before I buy, and who better to ask then the person who knows everything)
For under $400 thats hard to beat. i'd be happy with those gains just from the generic tune and will probably invest in parts and a custom tune after then.
I'll just need to check my funds before I can commit to anything yet. How are they purchased? paypal? send check? idk im new to these kinds of things and I almost never buy anything online..im old fashion in that kind of way... although im only 21 haha.

Thanks again.

Kindly count me in. And it would be cool if it could come with the stock tune I had when you tuned my car in Louisville, and the tune you put on it then.
