I wanted to say something.

Last night, Jan was in Charlotte doing some work with a Porsche race team. He was only in town for a day and spent ALL day working with them.

For those that don't know, Jan tuned my car with great results over 15K miles ago. About a month ago, I drove from NC to FL to have Jan do a retune (he wanted to spend more time with my tune)

Unfortunately, I had a leak at the turbo and Jan was unable to do a tune. To be on the safe side, he put a lesser tune on my car until I could figure out what was wrong.

Now that the car is fixed, I'm still running the lesser tune. It's okay but the driveability hasn't been there.

Jan called me last night and had me drive (next town over from where I live) to Moorseville so he could install my old tune.

A few things.

He flew in, had been up for many hours, was tired and still took the time to tune my car at 10pm... I'm not even going to mention the fact that it was in the low 40's and we had some issues so Jan stood out there for almost an hour just playing with my ECM.

That is customer service. Jan could have blown it off and just had me wait until I met up with him at another tuning party but he didn't.

THAT SAYS A LOT!!!

I'm also not going to say that good things come to those that wait. I'm not going into details but let's say that I have a new car if you know what I mean. There's a new plateau... that's all I'm going to say.

Just wanted to say THANKS to Jan for taking the time to mess with my car while he was tired, cold and having his wife calling him.

On a scale of 1-10 where 10 was the tune which dictates the numbers in my signature....

I'm going to say a 14.

Good to hear he's really locking in on the best tune for the R56. Can't wait to get one someday!

 

Glad to hear your car got fixed. Nice to have someone let other's know how Jan works behind the scenes. I know the few times I had him in Rochester, NY he spent a lot of extra time on problem cars. Most of them that had other issues that effected the tunes which weren't his problem. Hope your car is more than you expected, from your 14 rating I know it is.

Jan did a great tune on my r53 and he always responds to my emails or calls. He is a man of high integrity and I always recommend him with confidence. I hope to see Jan soon for a tune on my 09 JCW!

 

I NEED an RMW tune on my JCW so bad. Are the numbers as good as the driving experience? Does he increase the boost at all?

Knowing Jan, I'm SURE you can somehow convince him to make a trip to Hawaii . I know it's probably hard, but try and find a couple more MINI's on Maui that want a tune, and he'd be there.

Jan, we have a place on Maui, maybe you could stay there...

 

I have no dyno numbers yet but I assure you it's pulls MUCH harder.
