Clutch Time

Hello all. Im new to NAM, but not new to MINIS. Ive had my R53 since new in 04. Anyhow, Im in need of a clutch and flywheel at 58k. Been doing a ton of searching, but still have a few questions I hope can be touched on soon.
Im looking into the ClutchMasters FX-100 with the Findanza flywheel.
1. How loud is the gear noise going to a solid flywheel?
2. Is anyone familiar with the SPEC clutches and flywheels? Is the CM and Findanza more common?
3. With 15% pulley, Craven intake, demon coil, plugs, wires, Invidia exhaust etc.. Will a stage 1 clutch do fine? Or should I upgrade to stage 2 for added life of the kevlar clutch?
4. should I go a head and have the slave changed again as well?

This is the second clutch in the 04, MINI dealer replaced orig. the Slave and clutch about 25k miles, but dot think they did the flywheel.

Thinks thats it for now, Thanks everyone for their feedback.

1. No idea, but there will in all likelyhood be some noise, then again I have stock parts and my car sounds like a diesel.

2. Usually you see CM clutch + CM flywheel. You should be able to go with the fidanza and have it work. SPEC clutches arent as well liked as CM around here and there are a few horror stories. If you search the internet hard enough you can find a horror story about anything though... That said I will NOT be getting a SPEC clutch when replacement time comes

3. With all the mods listed you are making about as much power as a JCW mini, which uses the same clutch as regular S.

4. Not a bad idea, I think it's like a 25 dollar part?

We just got the OS Giken "Streetmaster" clutch going. I do believe it's the prototype unit. So far it is much less race clutch like on pull away. Only put 100 miles on it so far so it may break in more. As with all theirs there is no "rattle" at idle but the previous clutch had a wurring that happened when the clutch was depressed. This new one the wurring is decreased by about 75%. It's pricey but an impressive peice.

That's a shame, I saw an ACT do that after 14,000 miles. ACT stood behind the product and replaced it. The Fingers on the pressure plate had failed. Which did you use?

I will recommend to you CM FX100, it is better than the OEM clutch. I have JCW kit with RMW cam, 440cc, meth and tune. It will holds better.

Its a brand new clutch that worked for a day and thats it. The splines are flawless.
Went with the FX200 because it said it would last 2-3x longer

ZippyNH... Any more information on that Giken street? I am in need of a new clutch soon, and I REALLY want to see if I can get it.
