OK so silly question. I have the RMW tune and love it. I also autocross my car and have been running in D Street Prepared FWD which is a killer for PAX. I assume I need to be in this class because it allows one to increase boot levels via ecu tuning whereas STX class does not. Question is if I have the stock intercooler should I really be running in STX?

My Mini is still doing grate with the RMW tune.
I do have the Alta intercooler since I bought the car, so I had it previously to the tune.

I do not know what difference could make for you, you should ask Jean, I'm sure it will replay to you.

New to the forum and thread. Is this rmw tune still available. Any long term feedbck. Went to the site and saw the flash tool for $369 does it work the same way? I purchase the tool and the company sends me the latest sw with it? Can I flash and unflash it myself and how long does the process take?
Is it simple or a painful endeavor?
With no other mods what gains can I expect

Going to revive an old thread. I've recently bought an RMW (Jan) tuned MINI. I was running an Alta AccessPort before.

The symptom I'm seeing is a very unsteady throttle. I can be leaning in and making 5PSI boost, I want to accelerate so I mash the throttle and it's like the car pauses and then goes HELL YEAH and takes off. But why that "pause"? Same thing on decel, I'll be pushing 25psi, come off 1/4 throttle and my boost goes down to 0... It also makes takeoff really hard with the OS Giken because it's a power on off switch, either I spin or stall or I have to drive like a Honda guy continuously blipping my throttle.

Secondly... I (think) there's a forge BOV on there, and when I'm running the RMW tune (vs ALTA for example), my BOV sounds like a SSQV or as if there was turbo flutter where instead of "woosh" I get "wiiish tsh tsh tsh tsh". I actually LIKE that part, wondering if anyone knows how he managed to do that, out of curiosity

The car is definitely quick with this tune, but sacrifices driveability. in my opinion. For the record I have the same issue in sport vs non-sport, just that non-sport has a more linear throttle.
