well since im deployed again to the middle east and my mini is at my parents house resting(though if i find out they are tooling around in it again and run the mileage up there will be hell to pay)
ive decided to get some work done on it....bout to get a new clutch/flywheel/slave cylinder done and mebbe a lsd if i can swing it...gotta get a new crank pulley and a new tensioner(just in case)

but right now my supercharger has about 125k miles on it and its starting to make those tale tell noises that its near the end of its lifespan and i would rather not have a failure in bfe on my way back...

has anyone found a place where you can get a newer s/c or one with lower mileage or is there a good place to have it rebuilt...

You could just top off the gear oil and see if the sound goes away... a lot cheaper than a new SC...

 

I just bought myself a new teflon coated SC for cheap on ebay just because of this fear.....
