Drivetrain Cleaning air intakes
I've had the Moss MINI air intake on my car for close to 10,000 miles now, and it's starting to look a bit dirty. I know that Moss sells a cleaning kit for it, but what does such a kit actually include? I think I've read that cleaning a cone-type intake basically consists of running water through it (inside to out) and re-oiling. Can I just buy the oil somewhere? Who has actually done this?
Thanks!
Chris
Thanks!

I'll bet you can use the K&N cleaning kit as well, which I believe basically consists of new oil. But, on the other hand, I keep hearing that the dirty these types of filters are the better they work. But that just doesn't sound right to me.
i used the cleaning kit for the K&N i had some left over from my vw days it worked fine on the moss. Spray cleaner wait 10 to 15 minutes then rinse from inside out not too much water pressure, wait to dry then use their oil,. instructions on the box all for 10.99 at pep boys.
Cool, thanks. I was hoping I'd be able to find something locally rather than wait and pay for shipping. I'll check around for the K&N kit (unless someone wants to convince me that "dirtier is better" - now that you mention it, I remember hearing that as well!).
