Problems ordering from M7 Tuning

Has anyone had any problems ordering from M7. I ordered an AGS-R 1 1/2 weeks ago from M7. They sent me no type of ETA for the intake till i contacted them. They have now told me ther are none in production even though they have had over a week to get it at least started and still can't give me a time frame that it will be made, sent or recieved.

Is this a probelm others have experienced. I have alot of friends with R56's that are interested in M7 parts but they have wanted to see them in the flesh before buying from them so i went ahead and oredered first to get the ball rolling, i have told M7 this and they have still not slapped them selves into gear to get it done.

What should i do? Get my money back and go with a different intake, I have had a DDM but didn't think alot of the quality of it, or the performance so wont go there again. Do you think the Gruppe M is worth the extra money as i may go that route if it doesn't turn up in the next week or so.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Fomsport are a UK dealer for M7 maybe they could help?

Regarding performance they are all likely to be pretty much the same so you may be dissapointed in the end.

I think the stock enclosed filter with high flow element is the best option. You could upgrade to the JCW tuning kit or factory JCW air box these are a little larger. Tuning kit uses a cone whilst the factory version uses a panel. ITG do replacements for both.

Fomsport is where i ordered from and it has still not got me anywhere. I never get a straight answer to anything and still no time frame. I think i would have been better off ordering from them direct as it took me 2 weeks just to get a price from Fomsport.

Sorry to double post but i agree on the performance side of the JCW Filters as i have a Stage 1 with and ITG, The DDM was nowhere near that performance wise but i wanted something to match the performance but make a racket at the same time. So i though M7 was probably the best bet considering the sound ports, so i can have it load and mean when i need but a little more plasid also if need be.

Maybe you could buy another airbox lid and cut some holes in it? Or put a spacer between the airbox halves to open it up a bit...

Personally I wouldn't bother, the air sucking and BOV sound gets boring quickly...

PRIMISTAR: I have had the same types of issues with m7 myself. No ETA, double credit card charges, damaged items showing up, no refunds on items, price changes, etc. etc. Made it very hard to deal with them! Good luck on getting to a resolution. Don't hesitate to get the credit card company involved to get your money back (I had to do the same thing). I have since chosen another manufacturer for my R55 accessories...

Hope you get the funds back and the intake you want ASAP!

I have to chime in here. I have dealt with M7 for awhile now, no problems. My latest story is: Last weekend we were installing my new M7 coilovers and started to bolt the Hotchkis camber plates up and found that we had 2 right hand plates in the box This is Saturday night. Steve from CMS calls M7 and talks to Shelly on Monday morning, the left camber plate shows up at 8:30am Tuesday BTW we are 250 miles from M7. Thank You M7

Right all is now resolved. I have now recieved my AGS-R. It took 2 days from accross the pond. I cut a deal with shelly to send me the one that is on their car so we could speed up the process. I have it all installed now and sounds awsome. There is deffinetly a power increase over the JCW StagE one box in low range and high but think mid range is pretty much the same. I will be getting it dynod soon so will post differences, not sure when but i will so hold tight.

There are a few issues with fitting though. It seems to rattle alot, and requers alot more attention when fitting than other intakes as you have to drill holes yourself to fit it. Just though id say incase others were interested.

I know this is late, but for what it's worth we have the AGS-R intake in stock.
