This last weekend a few of us rented the Fabi layout of the Shannonville road course in Ontario. We had all had a blast and I tried out my home made camera mount for the first time. The results came out very nicely. I took about 2 hours of total footage and this is one of the best runs. This was my first time running this layout so I had a tough time when I was leading the group. We had 8 MCSs and a WRX.

In the video we alternated taking the lead playing cat & mouse. Both the drivers you see in the video are amazing, the dark silver driver has over 14,000 km under his belt at Shannonville alone! (Ex-formula Ford Racer). Both of them were incredibly smooth. I was keeping up fairly well until I nailed a cone exiting out of turn One. Dragged it all the way to turn 3, you can see it sitting in the middle of the turn when I come around during my last lap. I've got a long way to go to get to their level cause you can tell I was getting tired mentally and making small mistakes.

I'll post pics of my mount setup later on tonight (it cost me CN$10). Hope you all enjoy the video. Let me know your thoughts.

It's a 29mb streaming quicktime file so make sure you have enough bandwidth
If it doesn't work try again in a couple of minutes as someone is probably downloading it

The Great Chase!

cheers,

Amit

The clanking noise is my passenger seatbelt flapping with the wind. I forgot to buckle it in. Thank god nothing was loose

cheers,

Amit

Used my uncles Sony Digital Camcorder. It's really nice and small. I made the mount myself. I'll take a pic of it tonight and post it. Cost me CN$10 to make.
