I put a dented (garage sale) FMIC on my 09 Clubman today! No problems and fit like a glove!
Just an FYI: For the JCW Bumper, the amount of trimming to fit the core is near zip. The Cooper S bumper (I still think) is pretty minor, but on the JCW it was simply removing the temp sensor mount, grind two of the outer lower grill tabs and viola' done!
I will try to post up a few pics shortly!
Porthos: Did things get resolved? If not, PLEASE PM me and I can add some pressure if needed! Thanks for your patience!

However, one half of the JCW badge was pushed out from the grill a bit as the backside of it was pushed by the intercooler.

no grinding necessary. I used a razor knife to cut off the thin peice of plastic in the way. easy. As you said I did have to relocate the temp sensor.

Everything is going fine I already got the tacking number fo rht ereplacement parts. I need to send back the intercooler which should be done cause I left it at my parents house and asked them to ship it back for me. I will call them today and find out if it happened. When you guys look at it in person you'll be able to tell someone wasn't doing there job cause there is no way that it should have made it through QC. It looks like it was painted after it was dented.

On the QC thing vs. freight damage. The cores are powdercoated. That type of coating is pliable so it won't crack or flake even when dented.
We treat I/C cores as the expensive part they are and as such they are handled very carefully. The UPS folks can squeeze the box, dent the core and the box won't show any damage. WE WOULD NEVER BOX A DENTED CORE OTHER THAN A KNOWN GARAGE SALE ITEM! PERIOD, EVER NEVER!
Thanks again! Keep me posted!
