Drivetrain loss?

how can I find out what is the Drivetrain loss of a 08 R56?

I don't know the exact answer to your question (other than comparing a stock MINI on a wheel dyno vs. the manufacturer's numbers), but I want to point out that you should also clarify: Manual or automatic?

The drivetrain loss is typically very different between the two, with the automatic being more costly in terms of power loss.

Put your car on a dyno, get a reading....take your motor out, attach it to an engine dyno. Find the percentage difference between the readings and theres your drivetrain loss.

Don't worry about drivetrain loss and just report numbers AT THE WHEELS.

That's all that counts anyway.

Its probably between 8-12% considering FWD have the lowest parasitic loss of all the drive lines
