how often should the filter be cleaned. I put on 100 miles a day so the miles add up quickly. Also I have an old K&N cleaning kit sitting around, can this be used to clean the Alta filter. Any advice would be appreciated.

On Randys site he mentioned an Alta cleaning kit and went thru what to do, it
seems every 10K you need to do it, he gives step by step, you may be able
to use some of your K&N stuff, go to http://www.webbmotorsports.com and find the
garage link, that takes you to the forms, then he has a howto form, in there
you see the alta intake, the last post should talk about cleaning.

The ALTA intakes are made of foam, so I would use the UNI foam filter kit...We recommend cleaning the filter every 15000 Miles. We have the foam cleaner kits for sale on our website, if you're interested.
