Drivetrain R56 custom tuning by RMW

Jan, don't forget your friends up in the Pacific Northwest. Posted on PS Mini to ask everyone if they have an interest in a tuning party. Several people have already expressed an interest.
The Seattle area is great in the summer and we might even be able to arrange a few cold ones after the tuning session.
Cheers!

but are the closed off air filters really sealed off tightly enough to actually cause back pressure? Seems like they would have to be completely sealed in order to do anything??
on another note, I'm going to be really pissed if all the money and install work I put into this doens't produce as much power after tuning than a stock MCS.

Immiedately upon seeing Jan's tune I realized I had spent too much money. You will see increase with your parts yes, but don't expect a lot more. Remember, unless you intended to put on parts to make it run more efficiently and then took it to a dyno only to find it is slower or minutely faster, you were a victim of advertising or didn't really do your research. I'm not sayying I'm not much faster than stock, but for bolt on's you could say I am.
You live and you learn...you can expect that the next thing I buy will either prove its worth with research, charts, and graphs or it's staying on the shelf.
I hope I eat my words, but unfortunately all I did was throw money at the next big thing becase it seemed good at the time. Like I said, lesson learned...

No highjack intended, we should talk a see what interest is going to be in our area. Our club had a baseline dyno day last Feb., Dynojet unit, so lots of variables involved.
Let's take it to PM. I need to check with some of the MINI5280 R56 folks and a few of the R53 folks. Your Sept. event looks booked unless your doing a 3 day event.

Hey Don,
I am putting together a RMW tune party right now in Utah. Jan was planning on coming here in Sept. but if we get the numbers he will come sooner. Right now I have 2 R56 and 10 R53's scheduled. Maybe we could work together to get the number of R56's higher?
We have a brand new Dynapac coming to a local shop here in Utah in June. Price per hour will be $100-$110. Let me know what you and your club thinks about getting together

Ya'll are wrong...
The car he did with the intake and exhaust was not tuned....on the BASELINE dyno of it compared to the BASELINE dyno of the stock car....it only made 1 ft-lb, and 4 hp at the wheels more than the stock one.
The tune of the intake/exhaust car should be completed by tomorrow and expect to see gains over what the tuned stock car put down earlier this week.

Since it's an exhaust system principal, it should also never be used in the same sentence as cold air intake .

What explanation? Mine?
PS. the car being discussed...that I was discussing was mine.
