Boost blues

can anyone with a big valve head chime in and tell me if 13 lbs. boost is okay ? i was at 10 lbs. but the bypass valve was waaaay off . big daylight. after adjusting the bp i'm at 13lbs. 15% pulley and half a hole showing with no noticeable slip . vacuum is at 18 at idle . chopping throttle produces 22 in. so at 93000 mls maybe it.s grey hair is showing ?

That's weird. I'm pushing 16 psi with a DT bypass valve, 15% s/c pulley and 44K on the clock. At idle, I believe my vacuum is at 20 and at 25 while cruising. It could be your bypass valve and your mileage. I originally pushed 15 psi before the DT bypass valve. Even if the bypass valve isn't completely bad, it wouldn't hurt to change it. While you are changing it, clean the throttle body as you have to remove it anyway. Your boost might not be bad considering your mods, but I'm not too keen on big valve heads. How's your acceleration and response?

your boost pressure gauge will read lower with the big valve head. It is okay. We only hit 14 with a 17%.

I wish I even got that high, I'm getting around 10 psi with a 17% and DTBPV. Then again I am 4200ft above sea level
