I got mine!! It's a beautiful piece, but I want to know more about this special coating? The black isn't as freakin dope looking as the one maniac posted. Please tell me about this special coating! I'm just curious, thanks in advance for posting about the special coating Maniac or E.D.

Guys its sunday and i had some yahoo come in from miami so i can make a DP for him. He was suppose to come in yesterday but being that he made it late i said ok to opening up today for him Well i found something interesting today! THe dp did not fit his car, he has an 07. Dont worry, dont worry, simple fix!

I did the initial bolt on setup on an 09 jcw R55 and it fit like a glove. THe only difference is that for some reason this system has a longer nipple on the catback which was odd. Soo if your DP does not sit flush against your dp then take some pliars and just bend the little nipple inward, 30 second fix.

THe new pieces ill just expand the pipe a tad bigger to address this. Sorry guys!

Ok now look what ive been up to today.

I managed to make a full catback system that actually bolts up to the stock downpipe so yeah im a happy camper now. Check for the new thread! Woot woot!

Oh yeah, the miami guy has a nice 300 mile drive so i figure he shoud get home about midnight. His car pulls VERY NICE. He has catback, alta boost tubes and intake and has the Uni-chip on his car. Now with the DP it pulls like a mini monster. Hopefully he can make a post tonight.
Woot woot!

Hi Hector, I have an 08 MCS. I already have a Alta cat back. I am now interested in a DP. What Down Pipe do you recommend? Or should I wait to get a big turbo kit when they come out, because it should come with a DP right?

Hello *your name here* ,

Altas catback connects to the factory catback by the second cat if i recall. OUr Dp will bolt up to the factory connection up front.

Now if you get a big turbo later, chances are what ever downpipe they give you will cause you to trigger a CEL. YOu also live in the natzi state so everything is smog this smog that so chances are you might right into trouble.

If you use our DP now, you will have to cut it up to get it to fit your larger turbo. Regardless you will be able to reuse the cat portion to make you "legal." YOur shop of choice will just have to fabricate an elbow to the turbo to the cat portion.

At 2am my posts dont make much sence. IF the Dp does not fit flush then take the catback nipple and just bend it some with pliars. Actually if you can cut it off that would be ideal because it does create a pocket in the connection. My catback i made I made it with out that little nipple for that reason.

I received my DP today!! I will be installing it tomorrow

Quick question - the threads for the O2 sensor have paint in them. Should I just clean them out with a little sand paper before the install?
