I didn't realize you had remote tuning capabilities. I've read that RMW is getting close to finalizing their remote tuning option.
Jeremy
Yes we will release the remote tuning software very soon. Also the software will allow you to datalog, read and clear DTC's (OBD II codes and MINI PC codes), clear and reset ADAPTATIONS. This would allow the user to send us a datalog from a dyno run and tune the car accordinately to your engine and mods, and not some base map for all sort of thing like other remote tunes out there. Every car is different, that's why the factory uses "ADAPTATIONS" (learning values) to try to keep every vehicle close to operating parameters written in software. If every engine was the same, then this feature is not needed. We are working on other electronic devices for the R53 and R56 as well.
Mike,
Do you have any issues with the 550s and the 'cold' map? My understanding is that the 'cold' map cannot be adjusted, and the car is stuck with that map if running the stock ECU. Please enlighten me if I understand this incorrectly.
My 440s give a little trouble with a rough idle when cold. I would expect the 550s to be even worse.

mini_racer, I can answer that question for you, as I am the one who find all the maps for our software. Yes we can adjust cold start, post start maps. But these maps are not needed if you tell the ECU what size injectors you are using and also adjusting the Injector Latency Compensation (Battery Voltage Compensation). We are not having any issues with cold start with the 550cc. Even better, our short-term and fuel trims at idle are around 2% +/- and at 3000 RPM they are around and between 2% to about 4.2% +/- swing, and long term adaptations learns at less then 2%. We can adjust the injector size multiplier in software before it multiply and divide Load and RPM for the main fuel map. So that is why you don't have to adjust cold start, post start maps.

im running 465cc injectors and after changing my s1 02 sensor my idle is nice and smooth. i didnt have a cel but changed it anyways to try solving some other gremlins im having.
I put them in when I got a "Fireballed" tune a couple years ago. Right now, I am running current "stock" flash, though. I have no problems with them that I know of, and I am planning on a Newman cam and a tune from either RMW or ABF Performance inthe near future, so I have just left them in.

Mark, the tuning sw and our mappings have improved immensely since the 'fireballed' days; call ABF and Hubie will hooked u up Or if you're going to AMVIV, we'll take care of it there. Let's take this to PM ?

Hey Mike,
I thought the old Fireballed tunes were just a GP flash and not custom at all? Were you guys involved with that?
I assume your talking about the MEMS. Have you guys figured out the retail price yet?

Yes, on 2006 models at that time were updated with GP software and maps were adjusted that Dimsport 11 maps don't show. If you have an hex editor and compare the tune with the stock GP you could see the changes of maps, not what Dimsport shows you on their software. Try it sometime and compare the two by using a hex editor. Even with our current software and tunes, we adjust maps that Dimsport doesn't offer. Look at our website at the screen shots under tuning, and you would see one shot of Air Temp Sensor Scaling, that tells the ECU what AD/Counts reference to temperature.
We continue adding new features to the MEMS alot of software to write by hand, so no retail price at this moment.

Spoken like a true engineer .
Why is it you engineer types can't speak English . I work with three very brilliant engineers and they talk the same as you. Once they stop talking you shake your head and go . Post 32 is a double
Did I say something about Dimsport . I'm not a Dimsport tuner J .
So you were actually able to break the Siemans wall of secrecy! ! !
Trust me, it's a mess! Working on more of the MINI PC codes now and how the codes are encrypted and using 13 subroutines to de-crypt them into real OBD II P-codes for a diagnostic tool to read. It's unreal the efforts Siemens took to hide this stuff.
