For everyone else, ive seen this mini since the day it was purchased and through all the different steps, pains and hard work that it took to get it to where it is today. There is nothng about this car that you will find that has not been gone through and made sure its right. Its how Johnny does everything.

So that you guys dont think im a crazy troll, let me start by telling you a little about myself. Ive known Johnny now going on 12 years and look up to him like an older brother. I have spent many late nights with this car and have beat up some good hard miles on it. This is not a car that sits in the garage and looks pretty.

Now i hope you guys understand why i am stepping in and posting about Johnys car.

Oh and Hubie... Now that you are done with Johnnys car, Its time to start working on my car

Congrats to the new King of the Dynapack dyno with a MINI, gonna be a hard number for the other dyno racers to beat unless they have a turbo or nitrous as well.

That depends on what " correction " factor they might use

Looks like he went to Church's Auto. That place has been in a lot of magazines.

if you follow any other forums besides mini, you will see that church's is kinda known for reading high. Its the same argument on s2k forums too

I realize that Church's dynos have been known to read high due to the fact that they use Dynapacks. To be honest I don't really know why everyone gets worked up about dyno numbers since every dyno will spit out a different number.

Yuppers. EF-1 has a DynoJet.

At EF-1 Johnny was not running pump gas.

NOTDULL and AstroChex -
No, he did dyno the car at Church's prior to EF-1. The date was cut off in the scanned picture. The numbers
at EF-1 were not as high as at Church's.

Ah so, didn't know that. Thanks for the correction. If I didn't know better I would say Johnny likes to rev that thing.

The Dynapack label on the dyno run is an unfortunate error. And for truth in advertising he was not running pump gas.
from reading the post on another forum, here's the jist of it:
-he's running a mix of C16 with pump
-he dyno at ABF MD the night prior, went to the Dynojet dyno day, then to the Dynapak.
-boost level was set at 22psi on the comparisons

Everyone looks at this as a bragging contest, i look at it as a good research project and thank Johnny for his time and efforts. The same car, same tank of gas on the same boost level on 3 different dyno's in two days give me a good idea of how each dyno read 'in relation' to each other.

That's just my 2 pennies

Ah, OK, he went to Church's after EF-1. Yes it is good to be able to do three different dyno runs within two days and try to keep the other variables as constant as possible.

You are absolutely correct! As has been stated time and again, the dyno is just a tool, and different types/brands of dynos very well may yield different results for a given car. The comparative data, with respect to percentage differences, for Johhny's car may not be exactly applicable to other cars; however, his results do underscore the fact that their is intrinsic variability between dynos. All the confusion starts when people suggest that their results are the "truth" and, thus, the absolute standard, without mentioning testing conditions, including the specifics about instrumentation.

Motor on,
