Two thank yous... and a brag!

NAMers!

This is a thread to say thank you to Adam at AltaMiniPerformance and Jan from Revolution Mini Works.

The Thank Yous
First, I would like to say thanks to Adam for his input, communication, products, instructions and discounts! Being on a tight budget, I opted for bolt on upgrades and I decided to do mainly Alta performance parts. These include (in order of installation) the adjustable short shifter, cold air intake, 15% (v2) reduction pulley, stealth cat back exhaust, Brisk (12) spark plugs, MSD ignition, M7 strut bar and the toughest of installs....the Alta stubby antenna. Adam got me a great deal on each item and shipped them immediately! Awesome company Adam! THANK YOU!

Next, I would like to say thank you to Jan! Without his expert tuning skills, putting all these pieces in really didn't mean much. Of course you can feel the power gains from the pulley and CAI and catback, but you really can't appreciate it until the computer knows exactly how to properly utilize these changes. Jan has to be one of the nicest people and genuine 'good guys' I have ever met. He gave me all the details about what he was doing, took time to explain how a 'tune' works and then set me up almost immediately. He really brought "Gossamer" to life yesterday.

I am proud to say I did all of the installations myself (except tune of course) with the help of my brother and some other motor heads. The most challenging of installs was the pulley. Seeing the engine about 7" off the mounts was a bit un-nerving. But following the install directions and with LOTS of help from you NAM'ers, each was installed close to within estimated work time.

The Brag

With all the bolt ons, the car did 172ftlbs and 177hp. After Jan got done with her, "Gossamer" now turns an impressive 186ftlbs of torque and 207hp (206.9....hey...it's a rounding error!) My goal was to get her to 200hp with simple bolt on work and it appears that mission is accomplished!

Thank you both, Jan and Adam, for bringing my car to life! I am REALLY enjoying it and look forward to working with both of you in the future as I continue to enjoy one the best, most fun to drive cars, on the road!

Sincerely,

HOCKEYMAN
