Don't have my S yet but have noticed alot of comments about off-the-line acceleration being a bit boggy. Has anyone looked into more performance rear-end gears for the Mini? This can often make a BIG difference.

all the mini's seem to suffer this.....thought BMW was coming out with a software fix...heard from the service tech that it was an enviromental issue regarding fuel feed only with minis shipped to USA....but he told me a fix was needed because almost everyone was complaining that he saw, especially the S drivers because their expectations were highest.....also LSD would help but pretty pricey at $1500 +.....made a big difference on 3 series I had.....if you are mechanical you can do it yourself for way less....cheers!

Yeah, the Limited Slip Diffs I saw online were offered in several different gearings, so that would help. But as Nolan said, the pars alone are well upwards of a grand.

Somewhat like my ex-neighbor. A Dr. with a fwd Audi. I live in the south, and we got our one snow one year. He bought tire chains and put them on the rear. Couldn't understand why they didn't help!!
