I think the entire thread got deleted, so I'll start a new one.

I installed the M7 Plasma booster in about 5 minutes. Very simple,
and I like that you can remove it easily any time for experiments.

I disconnected the battery for 20 minutes like they say, but I don't
think this actually does anything. It would be hard to tell for sure.

I immediately noticed no change in the performance, smoothness
or any other aspect of the engine. The blue lights blink though.

I am waiting to compute the fuel-economy change, but it will need to
be very substantial to make the product worth $250 to me.

At $1.50 a gallon, 29 MPG and 10,000 Miles-per-year, if I get a 10%
improvement in fuel-economy, I'll save $52 per year and it will take
almost 5 years to just break even.

This is not a product that I can endorse yet. We'll see what the new
fuel-economy numbers show in a month or two.

Here is info from an older thread on the M7 PB
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...mp;topic=15310

I have used it for over 350 miles so far.
Can't say that I notice much going on with normal street driving.
So far the gas mileage is at 26-28 mpg for mixed driving or maybe a 1 or 2 mpg gain.

More mileage testing i s in the works. Will also add the Pilo ignition upgrade and see if that will help at all.

There are so many threads about this product that I don't know where to post! I'm just curious to hear if anyone else has fuel economy gains to report. For me, it's not simply a calculation of what the unit costs vs. cost of saved fuel. I value fuel economy for its own sake, just because I try to minimize my contribution to pollution and global warming and all that good stuff. That said, I'd be much more likely to drop the $250 if the typical gains were closer to 3 mpg than 1 mpg. I drive a Cooper, so I'm most interested in what other Cooper drivers are finding. And in case it matters, I've got Magnecor plug wires in my car. Thanks!

Figured I reply to this rather than post a new one or get posted at the back of another thread.

My install pics:

MPGs... Unscientifically, I gauge how well I doing by noting the miles driven per fuel gauge tick mark. Prior to install, I was getting about 145 miles by 3/4, 230 by 1/2, 330 by 1/4, with about 400 on a tank. Post intall, I raised miles to about 153 at 3/4, 250 at 1/2, 340 at 1/4, with about 420 miles in a tank.

Looking at my gas reciepts says I'm getting about 35 mpg. Indiana is pretty non-hilly. My route to work is about 40 miles one way and includes about 10 miles of 65mph, 20 miles of 60mph, and some 5 miles of combined city. Each tank I try to beat my miles/tank record, so I tend to keep the excessive speeding and playing down. My recent exhaust install has caught me playing a little more often, but I'm still seeing similar MPGs.

---------------
EDIT: Actually... I think I messed up the "tick mark comparo." I'm used to just "knowing" here I'm supposed to be... telling it has me confused. Cause I think the gauge is in 1/8ths, and I have about 150 miles by the first mark (1/8 or 1/4...?). The above per tank full is pretty accurate though I regularly see more than 420.
