Help: Alta install on a GP

Today I installed the Alta intake 2 on my MINI GP and I'm very pleased with it. The only thing I want to check is if I was right to remove the JCW component in the photo below:

The box on the left was attached to the airbox while the one on the right was behind the (now removed) firewall. I decided the best thing to do was to remove the whole thing, leaving an empty socket - I assume this is all for the JCW airbox flap operation?

Also there was another cable left over that was attached to the JCW airbox which you can just about see in front of the intake tube below, I didn't know what to do with it so plugged it with a screw. Any ideas?

I love the sound - is the whistling while on the throttle normal?

many thanks!

As I know the part above is belong to the JCW airbox, so it doesn't matter if you removed it. But I am not sure about the tube that much.

Yup that's normal. The ALTA tube makes a whistling sound during part throttle acceleration.
