Redline increase question

Ok I def. searched for this topic and it's just a plain and simple question. You know how stock, the redline is about 6500 RPM and the lights on your tach. are on to show that. If you redline was increased due to mods, does the lights on your tach. automatically adjust for the new redline limit? Thanks.

It has to be programed by whoever does the ECU tune/flash.

The only mod that should necessitate a higher RPM is a new cylinder head with better valve springs in addition to removing the S/C, and adding an electric water pump. Because of valve float, and diminishing returns/heat build up/the part's absolute redline.

What do you have planned?
