How many Cats - EZ to remove - Probes?

Waiting to put a few miles on my newly installed JCW suspension kit and decide if this 2009 R56S is a keeper or if it should be replaced by a JCW model. If a keeper it will receive the JCW engine kit.

While doing so I wouldn't mind removing the cat(s ?) as thankfully my State has no DMV inspections and since restrictions are there to be removed, right?

I do NOT want a whole aftermarket exhaust system and I would prefer straight pipes if available.

Probes/sensors may also be an issue if installed on the part of the cat that would be removed.

So how many cats are there, are they easy to remove and do they have bungs for probes?

Any experiences, insights and vendor links much appreciated.

Going to the local muffler shop for a cut and weld job is something I wish to avoid.

Thanks all.

There are two cats. ExhaustDepot can do a full straight pipe for you.

Learned a few things today which effectively ended the project.

There are two cats and two bungs, both in the down pipe.

I visited a 2008 R56S with the Ragazzon cat-less down pipe and the loud sound was not acceptable to me.

The car was getting CELs, with and without the probes inserted, that could not be eliminated.

We fueled the cars and did a few acceleration runs side by side from 20 to 60 mph and my stock car was always ahead by about two car lengths.

End of issue.
