CEL question

well I finally got the p0420 code to go away with the spacer now I am getting 3 new ones
p0141
p115d
p0136

All dealing with th eo2 sensor in the 2nd bank. I am guessing I need to replace the o2 sensor at the bottom of the DP anyone have this problem and know where to buy new o2 sensors?

I had the p0141 and p115d, when I cleared it today there was only the p0141 tho....I'm wondering about specific cause also and what's the solution, if it's replacing that O2 sensor or what.

Yah this sucks I might just get o2 sensor and see how that works the codes are for malfunctioning heat and circut for the o2 sensor.

If you guys have spacers on your O2 sensors i would take them off and see how you get on as from what i hear the O2 sensors only seem to throw CELs when they dont warm up quickly enough..

I just took the spacer off the 2nd o2 sensor, so we'll see what happens.

The P115D has nothing to do with the cats its for

"Mass or Volume Air Flow 'A' Air Mass Too High Compared to Model"

Also has anyone tried electronically modifying the sensor signal with a resistor and capacitor? I did this on my previous toyota matrix and also friends cars with great success.

If you don't want to modify the sensor wiring how about welding a bung higher in the downpipe (hotter spot) if there is enough cable for it, so that it does not trigger the P0141 after using the spacer.

I have an Altal dp and exhaust with one spacer and get occasional 2270 cels on the highway. Not sure what that one is.

Seems to be more often now that we have colder weather here in the East, and only seems to appear when at cruise on the highway. To be clear, I have the Alta downpipe with a double bolt/spacer.

Hey hopper when you say you only have one spacer do you mean just on one o2 sensor or do you mean one of those "screwin" things and not both because alta sent me 2 and I have them both on the one 02 sensor.

the way the o2 sensor reads after the dp is by temp try moving it farther away by extending the wires so the temp it reads is the same it would be with the stock dp and stock local

Or just save yourselves all the bother of CELs and buy a Ragazzon decat downpipe and put the O2 sensors back in as normal with no spacers and walla

exhaust wrap

Has anyone tried to use and exhaust wrap around the downpipe to keep the temps up, and in turn heating the O2 sensors better???

Why are you guys having CEL's at all.....no catalytic converter, or just one that doesn't work but is called a "cat"? From what I can gather, only people with the ALTA downpipe and/or the UNIchip are having CEL issues, right?

Has anyone with these issues tried finding root cause? Remove the UNIchip, clear any codes, and drive. If that doesn't cut it, put the stock exhaust back on and repeat. It's entirely possible that the cat ALTA uses is so "high flow" that it does not sufficiently alter the AFR read by the downstream O2 to appease the ECU. Ditto the UNIchip altering sensor signals. Bottom line is whatever your setups are, they do not appease the stock ECU.

and now that p115d randomly comes on....and these all have come on without the unichip...and so what would cause the p115d, (i know what the technical definition is) and cuz when it comes on is when coming to a hard stop it'll try and stall or actually will, pretty retarded.
