H'der Insul 2 protect PS pump
Has anyone wrapped their stock or aftermarket exhaust headers for the purpose of protecting the PS pump. Is so, how did it go? Which insulation wrap? Where did you get it? Just looking for feedback from actual doers.

There's actually quite a few posts about wrapping headers, and coating them (ceramic) to improve gas flow, but I've never heard of it to protect the power steering pump. Given that it wasn't the objective, perhaps there's no data or assessment as to effectiveness.
I have had both wrapped and coated headers on my car, btw.

Why?
The MINI is at a DE weekend almost every month. I've sat on the grid several times looking at the outside temp at 100+. 90+ is quite common during the summer months (which are May through September here). Still have the original PS pump on the car. The fan was replaced several years ago.
