Alta BOV problems

hello everyone, i just got my alta bov installed today and ive been having a few problems here and there. when i was driving the car harder than normal, the car's check engine light popped up. after driving normal for a while the check engine light disappeared. i had this problem come up more than once so i was just wondering if anyone has ever been in this situation? also after installing the bov the car seems to not ride as smoothly as it did before.

well there is still a small idling rev, but the most important was fixed..so no more stalls. im guessing the car has to adapt to the bov for a while before everything will be normal?

the car has almost 20k. well, after 6 runs the spring tension is still a little off, cause after reving up to 4 grand the rmp kinda still drops a little bit. the check engine light is on now again, im having it checked out right after work =/

I had to add a decent amount of tension to the spring, screwing down on the cap...I'd say like 4-5 turns, but I did it so long ago its hard to remember

It happened to me and I had to take it off and re-installed it and then it was fine.. might be just a small vaccum leak.

Hey guys,

Check the vacuum leads, and that it is secure in the boost tube. The spring really doesn't have to be that tight to even work properly.

BUT, if you have any questions or concerns PLEASE Pm me or ring our tech team! Always happy to help folks!
