are you using both the rear hangars? I wan only using one, and once I added the other, it really stiffened it up

Yeah, it's not just *where* you "free up air flow" - but *how* you do it... adding a larger diameter (e.g. 2.5") exhaust doesn't do much if the primary constriction point is still the collector on the header. But the real *magic* of the RMW header are the equal-length primaries combined with the free-flow collector design - it radically changes the way the pulses of exhaust gas exit the header - in series instead of "crushed" together by the collector - and this is what gives is a combination of big sound and big added torque...

As for ease of install - I've dropped and installed exhausts several times - pretty easy. The Header isn't necessarily hard - but you really need a lift to do it - you need to remove bolts from the top side, then pull the header from the bottom - and reverse to install the new one. Or at least that's what my guru said the easiest way was...

I am pretty sure that they added more substantial hangers than the oem ones.I must admit that I did'nt look closely(huddled in the corner because it was near 32 degrees-frigid for Vegas)I told him that I wanted no more play/swing in the rear at the tips. The bad thing is ,that when you stiffen the hangers in rear(to eliminate play), you get new resonance in the rear to go with it.It's probably being absorbed into the chasis.Every time I get in the car, there are different sound combos at several rpm points.I guess it's the nature of the beast?More detective work.I wish our cars were easier to get under!Luckily the header is louder than the resonance!!! -love it.The performance benefits outweigh everything right now
ps-I have no rear seats,so it's even worse.I'll peek at it tomorrow.

...hmm.. yeah a shop install for the header seems best. How bout using car wheel ramps?

Platform - Glad to hear you are enjoying some sweet new mods! Not too many of us MCSa mega modders out there.

polepino - As for header install, it's totally easy. Did mine in my garage in about 2 hours. It seems more daunting than it is.

Here is a good how-to: http://webbmotorsports.com/index.php...w&id=8&catid=2

Oh, and as for loud exhausts...

That's always the trade off with exhaust hangers... You stiffen 'em by adding more of 'em, more material or a stiffer material. By nature, all of those things tie more of the exhaust vibration to the frame.

2 of the main rear exhaust hangers (well, 1 in my single-sided case) is a full-custom bracket with a metal frame that is enrobed in rubber... not gonna be an easy piece to replicate!

They are clamps. Three pieces. Weld the ends (samller pieces) to pipes and the center section clamps them. Perfect if you have parts that yu want to remove a lot. Say you want to remove your cat for a track day and replace with straight pipe. This makes it super fast and easy to do over and over again. Stanless
