No offense, but i'd like to see some results!

Do you mind if I ask what other stuff does that car has done to it? because those numbers seem great. what octane fuel, and what altitude, and exterior temps where going on?

This car uses 91 octane fuel and was done in California. The only mod on the car was the intake for this dyno run. I don't know the altitude or exterior temps.

What Gear?

I thought I read somewhere that 4 gear is what is normally used to do dyno runs. This one was done in 3rd.

Thanks,

So you guys got 208hp from a stock r56 with only a air intake. that sounds high. are those wheel hp or fly wheel. even then how come your stock car without the intake is at 200 hp. I thought the stock hp was like 178 or something

I believe you can, it replaces your inlet with this intake. Still very impressed with this intake!

I haven't dyno'd mine, i should tho, but am looking to do it in the future, unfortunately I don't have a baseline =[

I totally can agree with a skepticism, but all I know is, the car rides very smooth =]

Most people dyno the cars in 2nd or 3rd gear, NM did this dyno run in 3rd gear. They feel 3rd gear is more consistent for dyno runs. They said anyone with experience doing dyno runs will use 3rd gear.

NM Engineering said they as well as other people have dynoed these cars stock and have hit just under 200 horsepower without any modifications at the crank. If you have more questions about any of their numbers, you can email them at engineer@nm-eng.com.

This should work fine on your JCW, just give us a call to order or use our website www.namotorsports.net.

Sorry, but I have never heard of people dynoing in 2nd before.

The goal is to dyno in the gear closest to a 1:1 ratio. In most cars this will be 4th, sometimes 3rd.

This dyno was done in 3rd gear, not 2nd. Plus, these gains are not that far off from what Alta is claiming for their intake.

Do you know if they will sell just the silicon hose off the turbo separate? I'd like to custom make something to fit my existing intake.

LOL, saying that they are similar to Alta's results really doesn't help the credibility.

No worries though, I'm not knockin' you guys, the intake looks to be fabulous and is definitely different than anything else on the market. And I trust got.pho's opinion .

They will only sell this as a complete kit, I'm sorry.
