hi guys,
i am thinking about removing the supercharger system on my car and replacing an intake manifold or we can say changing sc with tc.. is it possible to make a change like that ?
is there any intake manifold produced for this or should i make a custom one ??
pls help

 

Use the search tool there are a few threads on going Turbo-only. Its not cheap either. PM MEGAmini or Revolution Mini Works about all the details

 

or you could buy an R56... just a thought. i like my 2007 MUCH more than my 2004 and 2005 R53's.

 

You wont need to replace your intake manifold at all. You will need to find another water pump though, as that will go along with the supercharger if you go turbo only. There are some electric options or you can use the MC water pump. You just need to move you alternator up to where the supercharger bolted up. You will need to make yourself an exhaust manifold, down pipe, and all of your intercooler boost tubing. You can go front mount, which is what you want to do anyways, as well as its easier than trying to fab up for the top mount. You will need to make a throttle body adapter plate for your tb to mate to your intake manifold. Along with all that you have your normal turbo issues, like blowoff valve, boost controller, & wastegate plumbing and hardware......

That is a rough mix of what you need to do...there still is tuning & fueling to sort out....
