Unless you want to spend a fortune, an obx with a stock cat works great

Absolutely +1 and ditto. Mine is paired with a Milltek cat-back. But if you are after a really good setup at the lowest cost, go with a one-ball and the OBX with stock cat. BTW, if it is one or the other in your mind -- or wallet -- then the one-ball will probably get you the same or more HP and almost certainly cost less than the OBX by the time you are done.

I just installed a obx with a stock cat to my supertrapp exaust works great. Very noticeable increase in HP & torque. RPMs drop slower when changing gears so less restriction. I have a lower tone but not any louder. I'm very happy with it! I got used from NAM member. Watch the market place.

Low-cost but not cheap: OBX header on eBay, or with cat fitted from Helix13. It'll gain some mid-range power.

If you want the best, RMW's full-on tuned merge-collector header is the best there is, but it's a pretty penny.
